KUBLAI KHAN EARLY LIFE


Kublai Khan was the fourth child of Tolui, and his second child with Sorghaghtani Beki. As Kublai Khan  granddad Genghis Khan exhorted, Sorghaghtani picked a Buddhist Tangut lady as her child's attendant, whom Kublai Khan later regarded profoundly.
